I woke up long before dawn this morning with some of the lyrics of Paul McCartney’s song, “Let It Be” dancing in my head. Why? I have no real reason. If I would venture to guess, it may be because the word broken-hearted has bled through nearly every part of our mind and soul lately. Whether in personal stories or news stories or in memories. The lyrics that called me to wake up before the sun:
And when the broken-hearted people, Living in the world agree
There will be an answer, Let it be
For though they may be parted , there is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, Let it be
There is hope for the broken-hearted in these words. As Paul goes on to say, whisper words of wisdom, Let it be.
